Synopsis

• It's tax refund season, and everyone's cashing in except Peter! Tired of watching his neighbors buy expensive toys, Peter decides to get an accountant that can net him a profit and announces to the family that he's going to use the money to put in a pool. While excitement at the Griffin house grows, Peter goes to get a building permit. He's shocked to learn that the city codes do not allow swimming pools. Outraged, Peter digs deeper (so to speak) and learns that the country has no record of his land. Armed with this new info, Peter decides to declare his land a country and make himself the president!

  Peter: No, Brian, it's a foreign car... the "t" is silent. (pauses) Sweet, I'm gettin' an Audi!
  Chris: (lifting up his shirt and staring at his bellybutton) I have an innie.

• When the camera is not on Tom Tucker when he's making sounds, you can see the Petoria flag is backwards.
• When Peter is looking at a map of Spooner Street's surroundings, there is a road named "MacFar Lane," a reference to Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane.
• Lois's pink dress is supposed to resemble that of Jacqueline Kennedy's.
• Among the people dancing the "Peter Griffin Bump" are Cleveland, Adam West, Mr. Weed, and Woodsy the Owl.
• At the very end of Can't Touch Me, Peter points to a brunette woman and says, "except for you. You can touch me." In the next scene, the same woman now has blond hair.
